Faux Stardom

We all have dreams and they are not always realistic.  But my ultimate fantasy would be to perform on Broadway!  Sure, I can sing a bit and have some coordination to dance, but it's not enough to be a big star on stage.  And that's fine!  But it's still fun to think about.  And who knows, maybe by the time I'm 50, I will have had some lessons and built up my courage.  But for now, my car is often my stage, so if you happen to drive past me on the freeway and witness flinging arms and belting, you'll know I'm just reenacting a scene from one of my favorite Broadway Musicals!

Well, this came to mind because I'm getting super excited about Wicked coming back this December!  I've seen it twice already but now I know all the lyrics so I can mouth them during the play.  But goodness people, please don't ever actually sing out loud.  Ugh, I went to Beauty and the Beast last spring, which is one of my favorite shows ever and this chick was singing behind me the entire time!  So I hope this doesn't happen at Wicked and ruins my night.  But anyway, this time, I plan on putting my name in a lottery and snagging those $20 seats.  Hope it works!  This show is great for everyone... even guys!  The story is whimsically clever and the music brings laughs, smiles and chills.  Go see!

  1. Auntie Marsha is taking us to see Wicked as a Christmas present! We're making a "dinner and a show" night of it <3 So excited. Lindsay and I never got to see it. Alli has, but of course loves it so much see can't wait to see it again.

PS My car is my stage too, only on mine I'm a rap star! lol
